Why “Rose of Jericho”?
Ever since I was a child, I remember ‘Proverbs’ being my favorite thing to read in scripture. “Wisdom.” I would read that word over and over again- and I wanted it. As much of it as God would give me. James 1:5 says to ask for wisdom if you lack it- so that is what I did. I prayed for wisdom. What I got in return was not a miraculous download of some ancient secrets. Instead, I was given the opportunity to live a lot of life in a very short amount of time. I chose the prodigal daughter route and took the long way home. While Yah had his hand on me every moment along the way, He allowed me to go on a wild journey full of ups, downs, twists, and turns. Each experience, whether good or bad, came with life lessons and wisdom gained.
As I returned to him, I continued to pray for and seek wisdom. This is where the name ‘Rose of Jericho’ comes in. I was led to the apocryphal book of wisdom known as ‘Ecclesiasticus’, or ‘Sirach’. Chapter 24 likens wisdom to many things, one being a rose plant in Jericho. Reading this verse reminded me of Rahab. Although her city came to ruin, she was spared from the destruction. Her legacy carried on, and she was shown mercy. I also thought of Isaiah 61 and the promises given there. Our Messiah truly did bring me beauty for ashes and traded my mourning for joy. He is also teaching me true wisdom. While I was still living in my Jericho, He saw a rose.

“The fear of YHWH is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever.”
Psalms 111:10
Wife – Mother – Daughter of YHWH
Victoria Fink

I am a wife and a mother, and I love my heavenly father, YHWH and His Son, Yahusha. In early 2021, I began to read my Bible again after a long wilderness journey. I reached a low point in my life and was ready to fully commit my life to God and doing what the Bible said. This led me on a deeper spiritual awakening to the keeping of the commandments found in the Old Testament alongside my belief in the Messiah. That journey has had a lot of ups, downs, twists, and turns- but much wisdom has been learned along the way. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to love people. I’ve seen a lot of ugly in this faith/obedience journey, but I’ve also seen and met a lot of beautiful people. My intention in starting this blog isn’t to teach others why they should follow the commandments- there are plenty of ministries focusing on doing that, including my husband’s. I hope to focus on the weightier matters- how to be a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Through personal experience, interviewing other sisters in the faith, and the Living Word, I will do my best to capture and share the things I’m learning along the way.

Ancient Path Revivals
Ancient Path Revivals is the main ministry I work with- my husband, Adam is the head pastor. We have been called to preach the full gospel message to all who will listen. We do this through music events, online and in-person gatherings, hosting celebrations of the Biblical feast days, and other outreach events.
